Continued recognition for the enchanting "Boutique
Hotel Ilio di Capo Sant'Andrea" as it is once again listed
in the 2007 editions of important tourist guides for the hotel's
distinguished brand of Elba-style hospitality. The Italian Touring
Club has entered the hotel, the only one on the island, in the special
category of "Italian Rooms" and the "Gambero Rosso",
the authoritative tourist guide which each year conducts rigorous
selection of the best hotels and restaurants in Italy, has once
again included the Boutique Hotel Ilio. To be awarded in this way
is the manner in which hospitality is conceived and offered; a friendly,
open welcome, discretion, service of the highest quality, respect
for the environment and the personalisation of tourist itineraries.
All of this is located in one of the most delightful corners of
Tuscany. Welcoming rooms, with names borrowed from Nature, are immersed
in a landscape of infinite colour, sounds and scents. In front of
the hotel is a crystal-clear sea of breath-taking beauty and all
around is teeming with flourishing flora and fauna. The cuisine
and wine list strictly reflect local traditions and the sports on
offer, both water and land-based, cater to all tastes. This double
recognition, therefore, for the owner of the Hotel Ilio, Maurizio
Testa is unique confirmation of his success in recent years; Testa
is the only hotellier on the Island of Elba to receive the exclusive,
purple emblem of the "Viaggiar Bene" Guide of the Gambero
Rosso, awarded to small hotels in Italy of particular charm. A credit
to the Island and to the whole of Tuscany. The Boutique Hotel Ilio
is open from 19 April to 20 October 2007.
